Minister for Petroleum and Minerals Tariq Al-Mulla, along with Prime Minister General Ahmed Abdullah, Red Sea Governor, opened on Monday the "Investing and Investigating Opportunities for Oil and Gas in the Red Sea" and organized by the "SEG" Geological Society at a hotel in the Soma Bay area to the south of Hurghada.
There are 160 people working at the conference in international companies working in the petroleum field and representatives of international oil companies and investing.
The conference is intended to include working sessions until next Thursday to discuss investments and audits for oil and gas in the Red Sea region. At the end of the conference, field safari and exploration of geological formations and layers will be arranged.
The conference comes in light of what Schlumberger is doing in the analysis of the Egyptian waters in the Red Sea, which is almost complete, in preparation for the launch of the international application First for the oil and gas exploration in the Red Sea region after termination of the border with Saudi Arabia.
