New irritations surrounding journalist Nemi El-Hassan, 28, who has been criticized for participating in anti-Semitic demonstrations, including calls for “gas formation”.
While the WDR has suspended cooperation with El-Hassan and is investigating the allegations, new incriminating positions have emerged. In the summer of 2021, for example, the journalist “liked” anti-Israel anti-Semitic content on Instagram. It was about the content of the American left-wing Jewish Voice of Peace, which is known for its propaganda against Israel and its support for the anti-Semitic movement to boycott the BDS.
► The post, in which the escape of Palestinian prisoners from an Israeli prison was described as an “incredible heroic act”, received the “Element” from Al-Hassan only in September. Among those who fled were Islamist terrorists (members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the Islamist Jihad in Palestine), who were involved in deadly attacks on Israeli civilians. One of the terrorists, who broke out together with his accomplices, kidnapped an 18-year-old Israeli in 2006 and shot him in the head. Al-Hassan “likes” only a few weeks.
► The July contribution, which called for a boycott of Israeli products, was also rewarded with public broadcaster approval. The Bundestag classifies the BDS boycott movement (“Boycott, Prohibition and Sanctions”) as anti-Semitic.
► As well as anti-Israel slogans such as “Anti-Zionism-duty” or “From river to sea, Palestine will be free” (“From river to sea, Palestine will be free”) journalist back in May with Both slogans advocate the eradication of the state of Israel , because we are talking not only about the West Bank, but also about all of Israel, which, according to Israel’s haters, should be “liberated.”
Just a few days ago, the journalist said in an interview with SPIEGEL that she had no hatred for Israel and that she did not deny the state “the right to exist.” She also called for “a peaceful solution to the problem for the region forever.” However, it was said that al-Hassan could not assess whether the decision would consist of two states or one state, as it was “not a political scientist”. She described her participation in the Al-Quds anti-Semite march as a “mistake” and said she had moved away from the environment.
Al-Hassan, meanwhile, is also backed by numerous journalists, artists and activists, who confirm that they have been “committed to anti-Semitism for years.” She clearly acknowledged and distanced herself from her “mistakes in the past.”
Explosive: On the night from Monday to Tuesday, Nemi El-Hassan removed her “Like” tags from her posts.
