A working breakfast was held at the bottom of the Conference, where the Italian prime minister referred to developments in the Eurozone in the ongoing debates on the next EU multi-year financial framework for the period 2021-2017 on energy management, refugees and migratory flows, as well as on other matters of common interest.
The main work of this morning's conference is to discuss issues relating to ensuring stability and security in Libya and, above all, to support the international community in promoting a political process (within the country) that has & # 39; to aim to lead the confrontation of conflicts, strengthen state institutions and unite military forces under central administration.
Greece was first invited to an international conference on Libya. An event, as stated by sources of government, reflects its growing role as a pillar of stability and peace in the region. First Minister Alexis Tsipras is expected to emphasize that Libya's territorial integrity in dealing with international terrorism, the protection of established institutions in the protection of law and economic development in the country are priorities for Greece who work in it and through the European Union Union.
Our country, according to sources of government, will also highlight the need for cooperation with the countries of the region, such as Egypt, in the Mediterranean European multi-level policy framework on security, migration, the economy and energy. This was the first meeting of the two prime ministers. Both leaders have identified government sources to discuss bilateral links in the energy sector in the forthcoming period, especially in relation to TAP, East Med and Turkey / South Stream pipelines. Recently, IGI Poseidon (LNG Poseidon) jointly launched a new phase of studies on the EastMed pipeline.
