Federation: half of diabetes is not aware of the disease at all – in Latvia – News

In turn, Latvia Children and Young People's Diabetes Association will organize a "Sustainable Diabetes – Save the Life!" As the representative of the Latvia Diabetes Center Marta Lagzdiņa said, in order to attract more public attention to spreading diabetes in Latvia and to raise awareness among people, the society will launch a "Stronger for diabetes" social campaign on 14 November.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2001, there were 29 492 people suffering from diabetes in Latvia, and in 2017 it had already been diagnosed with 91 571 people.
