The UEFA Champions League final has been moved from Istanbul to Porto / Day

The UEFA Champions League final was scheduled to take place in Istanbul on May 29, but due to the high prevalence of Covid-19, Turkey is on the British “red list”, which requires ten days of self-isolation after returning.

The UEFA Champions League final will feature two English Premier League clubs, City Manchester and London Chelsea.

Instead, Portugal is on the UK’s “green list” and does not require self-isolation when returning from that country, so Porto will be able to play for the title.

The UEFA Champions League final took place in Lisbon last year, but this time the title match will take place at the Porto Dragai Stadium, where each team can be supported by 6,000 fans.

The Champions League final was scheduled to take place last year in Turkey’s largest city, but thanks to the spread of Covid-19, the decisive games were held in Lisbon.

The winner of the Champions League will secure a place in the main event of next season. Also, the champions of the UEFA Super Cup will have to compete with the champions of the European League. The club, which will win the Champions League this season, will also secure a place in the FIFA World Cup.

Last year in the Champions League final, Bayern Munich in Lisbon beat PSG 1-0.
