Maxis Fiber Slows Slowly; Can be solved by 2AM (UPDATE)

UPDATE (1146pm): Although we have not yet received an official statement from Maxis, this statement of TM could give some light to the matter.



It's not good looking like a good day for ISPs in Malaysia today. As it turns out, TM is not the only associated problem that faces reports Fiber Maxis Slow has poured from all over the country.

Although we are not sure when it started, user reports on Lowyat.NET Forums suggested that the slowdown could start since this morning.

Instead of TM, however, Maxis received the problem quite early. Based on our fast search on Twitter, the first recognition of the Maxis Fiber issue was held before 2:00 pm but many users on Lowyat.NET Forums have comforted that they have a problem in reaching the company's customer service.

Given how the service uses the one by TM, it could be associated with the current slowdown of the Fiber and Unifi Field, as well as Streamyx. An unconfirmed message that started from the TM Network Operating Center may be circulated online giving some picture of the situation:

According to some recent response from Maxis's customer service staff on Twitter, the company estimated that the matter could be resolved by 2:00 am:
