The developers of Respawn in the new stream have revealed that Apex Legends Season 9 will include “tons” of content from its spiritual predecessor Titanfall.
FPS fans are happy to mention the Titanfall series of wild sci-fi shooters, and if you’ve played it, the similarity is easy to see when you switch to Apex Legends.
Both Battle Royale and FPS were created by Respawn and take place in the same universe. But according to the developers, Apex is ready to get much more content than ever from Titanfall, which will be released in season 9.
During a panel with several Respawn developers hosted by BrownGirlGamerCode, Apex lead screenwriter Ashley Reed spoke more about the relationship between the two games and how they will integrate Titanfall with Apex in the future.
“What’s happening in Titanfall is war, Apex is what’s happening after the war, what’s life in this place?” Reed explained. “So we’re trying to establish Titanopal in this, because Titanopal is actually part of the universe.”
We’ve already seen some parallels between the two games, for example, Apex has several Titanfall weapons, and who can forget the tall leviathans (AKA Moyais) who dominate the royal battles?
What already exists in Titanfall seems to be the tip of the iceberg, as Apex Legends director Chad Grenier has promised a “tone” in season 9.
“Next season, season 9, you’ll actually see a ton of Titanfall come back into the game one way or another,” Grenier suggested.
“I’ve already told some people, if you’re a Titanfall fan, wait until season 9, because there will be very interesting things.”
Obviously, Grenier did not go into details about what awaits us next season. So, if there are no leaks or new information in the meantime, we’ll just have to wait and see what Titanfall fans should be so happy about when Respawn officially announces this.
Based on reported Blisk leaks, they may be higher than everyone expected
