Corposalud in epidemiological surveillance before four cases of measles in Táchira



The Health Corporation is in epidemiological surveillance before confirming four cases of measles in different boroughs of the population of the Tachiren; the regional team made the necessary fence epidemiology to avoid the intervention of the disease.

Regional epidemiologist Noel Calderón, six cases, four of whom were native to the state, "two in the Naranjales population, one in El Piñal, and another in the Chururú sector, registered all of us receiving the greatest attention from our medical team ".

He explained that two of the cases confirmed previously were imported from the Capital Region and ensured that everyone was in receipt of the necessary treatment at San Cristóbal Central Hospital.

Calderón also reported cases of detheria from other states treated in the first health center. "Three cases of dehtheria, from Barinas, were confirmed to the south of Lake Maracaibo and Apure, two of which evolved favorably while the third died, unfortunately," he added.

The regional epidemiologist recalls that the vaccination campaign continues in educational establishments and throughout the health network; "We continue to apply the biological product for children between six months of age, up to 15 years old and tetanus toxoid tetanus between seven and 15 years old."

Finally, Calderón drew attention to the standards of hygiene that must be maintained in homes and schools, highlighting the fact that the virus is transmitted through oral paths.
